DOCTOR; If you are under thirty and have not become pregnant during eighteen months of trying, you should see a physician knowledgeable in infertility evaluation and treatment. If you are over thirty,I suggest that you see a doctor after only a year of trying to conceive.Infertility evaluation and the resulting treatments take time, and even more time is required to achieve pregnancy after the problem has been diagnosed and solved. Also, the longer a couple has an infertility problem, the more likely it is to get worse. As time goes by,chances of becoming pregnant decrease even more.It is particularly important that a woman over thirty not delay seeing a doctor if she suspects that there is a fertility problem.
