Doctor Segment - Q.Should my husband accompany me on the first visit to the doctor?

DOCTOR; Definitely. He should be involved with you during the entire process.Conceiving and raising a child is a joint effort, and infertility care is a joint effort also.

The evaluation cannot take place without your husband's cooperation, since he is involved in not only the questioning and treating but possibly also in the treatment phases of the process. If your husband is present at the first interview,he will have a better understanding of the entire program.

Additionally, some of the procedures may require that you change your normal sexual routine. This will require his support and co-operation. His attitude is much more likely to be positive and helpful if he understands it from the start.

Finally,if your husband has met your doctor,he will feel more comfortable about calling him or her if he has any question.
