DOCTOR; There are several things you can do.Ask the doctor if he or she does much infertility work.If the doctor does only a small amount,you should probably find someone else to do your evaluation. Use your common sense.If your doctor does not appear organized,does not have a step-by- step plan for your evaluation,or is doing little to help you achieve pregnancy,you probably need to change doctors.Remember,if you have gone eighteen months without becoming pregnant,you have an infertility problem and need testing now. Your  testing should be progressive over a reasonably short (six months)period of time.Having one test done now,another in three or four months,and another a few months later is not an adequate infertility evaluation.Remember,your evaluation should correspond with the guidelines in this subject.
